2 minute website usability review for www.hovhannes.com, a website about the composer, Alan Hovhaness.

Here’s another video usability review this time looking at www.hovhaness.com where I share 4 tips that can be used to improve a website.

Who was Alan Hovhaness?

Alan Hovhaness was an American composer (1911-2000). This website includes a biography, classified list of CDs, discussion of many of the composers symphonies, interviews,a gallery of images and a comprehensive list of recordings.

What this video covers

This 2 minute review which looks at the problems with splashscreens, text formatting, navigation issues and how site credibility and the ability to engage with the readers of a website are affected by the contact us page.

There’s a lot more I could say about this site and its effectiveness, which I think offers a lot of information to people interested in this composer, but I can’t fit it into 2 minutes :)

These are the sort of skills you’ll pick up when you take my beginners website usability course, the website success system, showing you how to build a good website. There’s nothing here about programming, it’s *all* about insight and evaluation :) .
